Summary

Amends the:

Civil Aviation (Carriers’ Liability) Act 1959
to correct a technical error in relation to the application of the definitions of “Australian citizen” and “Australian person” to charter operators;
Damage by Aircraft Act 1999
to exempt passive owners from liability for damage to third parties on the ground; and
Insurance Contracts Act 1984
to allow for the exemption, by regulation, of third party aviation war risk insurance from the cancellation and variation provisions of the Act.
